What to sell Wednesday: Little Tikes Washer Dryer is on Every Girl's Wish List (Apparently!)

I have loved hearing how many of you ARE actually eBay experts now, making a real living at this!  Warms this girl's heart!  So you probably could tell me what I need to be selling!  And if you've got something good, let me know and write me up a nice guest post!

But until you share your nuggets here's one of mine.

I hate to even write about it because it's a sore subject with me.  I passed one up a couple of Saturdays ago because I didn't feel like getting out of the car.  WHAT?

When I decided I was being a chucklehead I turned around to go get it and three minutes later...yup...that's right.  It was gone.  Chucklehead.

It's the Little Tikes Washer and Dryer toy.  It's hot.  It's old.  It's apparently on every little girls' Christmas list.

Have you seen these in your thrift store hunting?  Gold I tell you.  We're talking buy it now at $150.00 and it's flying off the shelves.

You may be wondering how to ship this gem.  I'm here to say it can be shipped through USPS...I have done it many times...just needs a box that fits it perfectly (which will mean you need to make your own) and it falls into the acceptable dimensions without it being an astronomical cost.

Hope you find one before Christmas!  I'm such a chucklehead!

  1. Thank you for the info! I'll have to keep my eye out for one of these toys. My girls are 8 and 13 so it's not on their list. :) I've been a subscriber for a while but haven't ever commented. Thank you for all your info. I stopped selling on eBay for a while and just decided to start back up again. I look forward to more great tips from you. Thank you!

  4. Shipping large items is not that bad. I actually prefer UPS Ground when it comes to shipping anything over 15 lbs. (they are faster and cheaper) I ship large items all the time. I just sent 27 lbs in a box that I made fit a Huge Barbie house. When the box is so large, you will be charged by dimensional weight.
Glad your back. You taught me what I needed to know to get started, found you when you did your guest post on moneysavingmom. Now I'm an expert at shopping and selling and saving!!

  7. You have been missed! So glad you are back and YES, you taught me many things about selling. Even though I have been selling on ebay for 14 years, there is always so much to learn about.

  8. Welcome back!

Like others have said, I am indebted to you ever since your guest post on MSM. In the past year and a half I feel like I have really grown to understand how eBay works, and I can't imagine not doing it.

  9. I have never seen one of these. I am in love! I do have the free standing ironing board in my basement for when my little girl gets a wee bigger. I've got to find the iron to go with it!

  14. I have one of these that I bought for $10 last year at a garage sale. My 2 boys don't play with it much so I was going to sell it for what I paid for it at my sale. Well thank goodness I googled it and found your post! Thanks for the posting this, I like your site!
