You're not going to believe this...

Wow.  This weekend was amazing!  Would you believe I got this:

And I got lots of this:

and some more this:

and I really needed this:

I am thankful to have found this:

Please don't adjust your computer screen.  No, your laptop isn't having trouble loading the pictures.  Truth is, there are no pictures.  On Saturday morning my alarm went off at 6am, and the thunder, lightning, and rain was loud enough to lull me back to sleep.  One hour later, still nothing but thunder, lightning and rain.  Even at 8am nothing but rain, so I called it a morning (I'm often home by then!).  I'm sure there were sales here in Raleigh in garages or they just waited until 9am but I was enjoying my pj's just too much.  So I took the morning off (the horror!).  Yes, that was hard for me.  Like, REALLY hard.  And I'm kinda tearing up about it as I type this.  And I'm going to say a little prayer that God will help me to not be jealous when I see all the cool stuff you bought at the yards sales on my list (and there were so many!!).

It was best that I stayed in, because little miss runny nose who loves to kiss mommy passed the cold to both mommy and daddy.  We spent the whole weekend in our pj's boxes of tissues in hand.  Then we finally showered on Sunday for church and an unexpected funeral.  It was busy but I did manage to take LOTS of ebay pictures, so at least I'm keeping it going I guess.

So, let me live vicariously through you please...what great stuff did you get?  Remember the link up rules...link to your post, not your blog, give me a little shout out link, etc. etc....

  4. I thought my computer was going wacky for a little bit when I first saw this.
Don't worry you'll get em' this weekend! If it makes you feel any better, I think the rain got the best of everyone this weekend.
No worries though, there was always Goodwill! :)

  6. It was a slow Saturday for sales anyways, so hopefully you didn't miss much (there wasn't much to miss here in Austin, TX). Totally praying for rain here though, so what a blessing in disguise for you. Hope you're feeling better!

  7. Nice Trick!
We actually found some great yard sales!
My mom was telling me the day before a few specific toys she needed to get for our nursery at church, and we found those toys at the first 2 yard sales! It was awesome! I know God helped! :)

And we found a sale with baby and kids clothes for 5/1.00! Wow! unfortunately I couldn't find my kids' sizes, but i did get some things to resell.
I hope you have better luck next week!

  9. I was going to be shocked because I went out in Raleigh this weekend and there was nothing! I had a list of 12 sales, and by the time I had gone to 7 locations with only 1 actually still hosting I gave up. The one I went to was charging $5 for used Carter's kids outfits. Total dud morning! You didn't miss out on anything! I should have stayed in bed too!

Several of the neighborhoods were REALLY nice when I got there, though, so hopefully they plan to just reschedule for next week!

  10. I kept waiting for the pictures to come up! I hate/love weekends I don't go out. It's nice to be home, but I always wonder what I am missing out on!

  12. You totally had me! :D
I actually went out on Saturday morning. Not sure why, it was pouring. I got gas, and waited, I took out money, and waited, and then I headed home to grab the family for tax free shopping. What a mental change to go from yard sale prices to full price shoe shopping!

  13. We live in Raleigh and my husband and 6yo son go out looking for yard sales every Saturday morning. My husband said there weren't any good sales this past Saturday. So you didn't miss much! I was just glad the weather cleared up enough I could make it over to the farmers market at North Hills.

  14. That's funny, I refreshed once or twice too! Good one.

Y'know, sometimes it's nice just stay home on a Saturday morning and relax a bit. Especially when you have a perfectly legit reason like a thunderstorm. Don't want to make you feel bad, but I scored a bunch of stuff. I put a picture on my Twitter account of some of it. I am surprised I did as well as I did, considering it's a slow time for yard sales around here.

Anywoos, this Saturday is right around the corner. You'll be back in the saddle!

I also liked your comments on dealing with difficult buyers, very nice.
