Hint: Buy home decor for CHEAP at yard sales!

Isn't this chair (and baby) beautiful?  Did you know this chair only cost me $5 at a yard sale?  Of course, it didn't look like this when I bought it.  When I purchased it, it was an ugly brown with sad tan upholstery.  A small pail of white paint and half a yard of fabric can do wonders on your yard sale purchases!  Always shop yard sales to brighten and update your home!

My friend Laura took the beautiful picture.  Check out her beautiful photography here.

  5. I have a whole dining set, including those chairs! I painted mine white years ago, then when I could afford it, had them all stripped and refinished in a mahogany colour.....now I want them white again! Yours looks amazing and you've inspired me. Now to get the hubby to agree!

I just found your blog while reading Money in the Garage blog.
And want to say I am ever so glad to find new friends who share a passion for treasure hunting at garage sales and thrift shops.

Love, love, love what you did with the chair.
